Find a Doctor or Hospital — MedicareBlue PPO NetworkMedicareBlue PPO Directory (PDFs by state) MedicareBlue PPO Network ProvidersDoctors, specialists, hospitals and medical clinics are often referred to as providers. With MedicareBlue PPO, the provider network available to you is extensive and full of options, spanning a seven-state region that includes doctors and hospitals in cities, towns, and other areas in the following states: Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming. You may use any doctor or hospital you choose and receive benefits, but you receive better coverage when you use contracted providers inside the network. You may have to pay more for services received outside the network, except in emergency/urgent care situations. When you access network providers, your cost sharing (coinsurance or copayments) will generally be lower than when you access non-participating providers. However, your MedicareBlue PPO insurance is still available to you when you obtain care from non-network providers, but you may pay out-of-network cost sharing. If you visit a non-network provider and receive a bill, you should not pay it, but instead submit it to MedicareBlue PPO for processing. MedicareBlue PPO will determine your out-of-pocket cost, if any. It is always important to ask your health care providers about their participation status in the MedicareBlue PPO network prior to receiving services.
